Dragonfly eating another (?sp)

Actual size 80mm, Queensland Australia

Canon300D with 100mm f2.8 macro lens. f/10, 1/200 with fill in flash.

The tenderness of this embrace is lacking somewhat. Dragonflies are ariel hunters; hawking and catching their prey on the wing, including other dragonflies. The bitterness here is that they were both the same species, providing yet another example disproving the urban myth that only humans kill their own.
